    This bottling is a tribute to the field blend style traditionally done on the property, and though the ferments are done separately today, the spirit is definitely captured. It’s easy and approachable, showing cherry, soft dried herbs, and mild oak influence. It’s made with food in mind, and it’s a super value. A proprietary blend of Merlot, Syrah, Sangiovese, Tinta Madeira and Souzao.

    Merlot has long been favored for blending in the Golden State. But it’s not just a part of the blend in Pedroncelli’s Sonoma Classico bottling; it’s the star, and comprises nearly two-thirds of the 2021 vintage, alongside Syrah, Sangiovese and Zinfandel. This combination results in a wine with polished tannins and snappy red currant, cedar and anise flavors.
